New discovery: when my brain is all jittery and won't let me sleep, listening to Eminem make it calm down. I don't understand this.
One day a few weeks ago, driving home from work, I couldn't find any music that would soothe my nerves. Turned on NPR, where they were having a segment on the Wu Tang Clan, and bam - instant calm.
When I'm in a crap mood and on the verge of losing my temper at the next asshole who crosses me and the subway is mad crowded I listen to LeATHERMOUTH and pretend its a mosh pit. It's incredibly soothing.
I maintain America The Beautiful would be a better national anthem than a co-opted drinking song.
Better a drinking song than a hymn, which is where the tune of America the Beautiful comes from.
Yeah, but in my mind, Fozzie Bear is singing it.
Today's mantra, one of my favorites: I want things to be other than they are. Brought to you by the letters W,O,R, and K; B; and P, M, S.
By which I mean I'm doing all right, and just trying to plod through the day.
Yeah, but in my mind, Fozzie Bear is singing it.
Well, in that case we should make "Movin' right along" the national anthem.
Yeah, but in my mind, Fozzie Bear is singing it.
"A bear in his natural habitat. A Studebaker."
"A bear in his natural habitat. A Studebaker."
Yeah, I was thinking of that. Why don't zoos ever show bears in their natural habitat?
Movin' right along (doog-a-doon doog-a-doon).
You take it, you know best.
Hey, I've never seen the sun come up in the West?
"A bear in his natural habitat. A Studebaker."
I recite that line all the time!
movin' right along...dungke-a-dunke,dungke-a-dunke
