Never goes smooth. How come it never goes smooth?

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

Wait, you can have a bath with a honey-something bomb and vampires and you bothered to ask?

I'm totally laughing out loud.

You are right, of course. I was just being lazy and seeking validation of my deepest desire enough to get off my bum.

Even Bartleby will enjoy the bath. I put his bed next to the tub and he knows I'm not going anywhere for awhile so he can sleep in peace.

That does it. I'm doin' it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I also choose vampires over werewolves

Team Edward???

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Even my cat knows that bath time is good.

and while I believe that middle brother is being an idiot , I will say unlike gov't agencies. , Most corporations do not have backup/ contingency plans. I used to ask DH hat would happen if he got hit by a bus -- and then one of the guy under him did get hit by a bus ( he was fine, but out for quite a while )

Thanks, all, I suppose my feeling a bit tender on the point is a, well, point in my favor.

I'm sorry, amyth, that you don't get to be pleasantly surprised by non-douchey behavior from him.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

amyth, your middle brother seems to be not so much flaky as so self-centered that it never occurs to him that visiting his brother or going to his funeral is not All About Him.

I am definitely an INTJ introvert. At any gathering, even F2Fs, I spend my time thinking that these people don't want to talk to me because I'm too old, not cool and lousy at small talk. I never learned how to read people so that I can be smoothly part of a conversation, rather that either shutting up or talking too much. What's funny about this conversation is that I think of many of you as much better at these things.

I don't think there's any good or bad about going to funerals. However, if there are people who care if you're there or need your support, it's rather appalling to say you're not going because it's inconvenient.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Wow, no more getting-hit-by-a-bus jokes for me! Dude.

Thanks, Connie, and I'm sorry, too, for bringing up such an unpleasant topic for you.

Thanks, Bitches for letting me vent! I think I've gotten it out of my system.

ETA: yes, Ginger, you're right, flaky was imprecise. He's definitely self-centered. But I need to learn to let it go a little better, because getting angry about it doesn't get me anywhere except angry.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Team Edward???

A deluded fairy who rampaged through the glitter section of a local mall. Perhaps he was concussed at a Hot Topic.

When I left work tonight, I noticed there was still a band of brightness over the mountains to the west. And the sun clears the mountains in the east by the time I get to work in the morning. It will be warm again, it will be light again. The circle has it reassurances.

Our wings are not tired.

I work in the corporate world and if my boss or CEO learned I'd not gone to an immediate family member's funeral and used work as an excuse, I'd be canned for not going.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Um, seconding that amyth's bro sounds very self-centered.

At the very least.
