Deena, yes! Thank you so much for the cookbook. I am so far behind on thank you notes.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'm not good at math and I always dreaded math in school. I had issues with paying attention and double checking my work (no matter the subject but it really hurts in math), reversing numbers ( and letters), trouble visualizing amounts and lengths, plus I missed a lot of school when I was younger.** So then when I got older I had all those problems plus not having a strong foundation in math.
Fractions and percentages just about killed.
- *This didn't hurt as much in other subjects where I could read what I needed to catch up.
TCG made dinner tonight and now we're enjoying red wine and lavender chocolate. It's a good day.
I had dinner with Dad tonight we went to a local restaurant because I saw on their website tonight they had quail. Dad likes quail.
I forgot to make a reservation but we got the last open seat. Dad had Sausage-Hazelnut stuffed Quail with Pear apple chutney, grits and homemade Worcestershire sauce (which he didn't like). And a Beet and orange salad.
I had this awesome salad I'm calling Breakfast Salad - poached egg, bacon lardons, croutons, cheese, warm bacon -onion dressing. YUM. And Lobser Arancini with scallop and fennel and parsley. It was good I never had arancini but it's fried rice balls.
Then for dessert they teased us with Meyer lemon tarts w/blackberry sauce, the lemons were grown on the property. Only they were out. So Dad had guava cheese cake and I had this apple tart that was nice but a wee bit dry.
Brendan Fraser really has the perfect square-shaped head for his part in Gods and Monsters.

TB, I have a Labrador-- add bacon, she'll chase anything.
I'm still irked by the showing vs. telling critic, but I'm trying to reassure myself with the fact that she perhaps her opinion is not one I should worry myself with overmuch, given that one of her favorite books is Twilight. Clearly, not my audience.

Clearly, the problem is that you failed to show your characters emoting through sparkles.
Damn those sparkles!

Well, I shall return to the way of the right and proper, then, and ignore those persons who said I was being pretentious.
Sarah, You're welcome. Look, you wrote a thank you note! One down. Yay. I thought there were two things. Now I'ma have to go back and check.
Damn that sparkly emoting. It's so hard to get right.
Someone whose favorite book is Twilight is critiquing your writing style?!
Eet eez to laugh.
Black Panther? I do not know him! But I will put him on the list.
The Tick, also. Although I don't know if any of my students will know him.
Dan and I just had pizza and watched "Red." Oh my gosh, that was fun.
