Hey, if it means I don't have to read any more, woo and, might I add, a big hoo.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hey bonny! Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I can keep you busy for, oh, 30 seconds - I gave Frankie a new toy (fleece owl) and he kept carrying it around and whining. He sometimes tries to take his stuffed toys outside, but I don't usually let him. Was he looking for a place to bury it, do you think?

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Lulu used to do that in her younger days. If I gave her something really awesome, it was almost too much for her to handle. She would carry it around, and start whimpering, and then move it from place to place, looking for a place to bury it, and then worry that that hiding place wasn't good enough, and then move it again, and again, and repeat this over and over, for at least a day, until the novelty wore off. Almost as if I was going to steal it back from her because it was so GREAT. It kind of seemed like it ruined the enjoyment of whatever it was, at least at first.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Heh. Lucy was the same. We had to ban bones over like three or four inches long because they were so upsetting.

I've always been amazed that the critters can love something manmade so much. Why do cats want to hug something while they sleep?

Wait until he sees what I got him for Valentine's Day.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Mr Peabody hides the really awesome things like rawhide bones underneath the furniture in the living room.

Kato just leaves them where he drops them, generally placed for maximum chance of me stepping on them and breaking my neck. Now that he has a Kong, I expect my broken bones to occur within the week.

Chloe never did get the hang of playing (she liked dressup, but didn't play with toys), so we only had to contend with one dog's toys everywhere, not two. Though now we don't have a special Chloe toy to remember her. Just her collar.

Huh. I'm not sure about this phenomenon. Frankie could be concerned about finding the right place. Do you know where he normally stows stuff away?

He might need a pile of blankets or pillows or such for his stash. You can establish it as such by 'burying' a tasty treat and praising him for seeking it in that spot.

The most important thing though is to let him whine and do not engage to try and calm him down or change his behavior. That will feed into it, which could become troublesome over time.

It's kind of cute but you don't want it to actually become anxiety.
