Yeah, I hope to hit the sack soon. My hours are turned around.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Pix and Spidra, I hope you'll have a good night rest.
"teaspoon state" (I love that Nilly-ism...or is it just a Hebrew phrase?
Hebrew slang, indeed. I had no idea Nilly taught you that! (There's also "bicycle state", when you're dead tired but in momentum, and if you'll stop paddling/doing something you'll fall off your bike and crash).
I think I missed learning about teaspoon state. What is it? I get bicycle state, though - I've been there a time or two.
Pix, I hope you took an Ambien. This is what it's for, dear friend. This is when you need it most. Don't give yourself a hard time about needing it.
Pix, I hope you were able to get some sleep.
It's cold enough here this morning that I am considering getting a Snuggie.

Is it just me, or is actual Fall weather coming earlier this year? I already have a yard full of leaves! This seems really early to me. I do have to admit, though, that I loved that I had to throw on a fleece to walk Toto this morning. This is my favorite weather.
Teaspoon state is a state where you're so tired that everything sounds hilarious and meaningless, including the word "teaspoon" (now you know where it got its name from). Also, a state of mental exhaustion that you got driven to. But again, the litmus paper is saying the word "spoon" (or "watermelon", or "carpet" or alike) without context. If it makes the other person giggle, she/he is there.
stress is extremely tiring. I think i am about to crash after a couple hours in bicycle state sanding walls and half-listening to an audio book. I know i was out of it because i vaguely recall taking the last cd out of the player, putting it back in the case, and turning off the light...but i don't remember how the story ends. Might have to relisten tomorrow while i do a second round of skim coat. *sigh* but in the meantime, sleep does indeed sound like a very good idea even for this non-stressed gal.
Pix, thanks for the simplification and explanation. I've been following along, and worrying about Drew, but when I was thinking back about what happened (and trying to explain to someone today)all I could say was, "well, he had his gall bladder removed, and then apparently he had a stone that got loose and now he's going to be in the hospital for weeks." It just seemed like I should be missing something. I feel dumb saying this to you, but it is scary how something can go from relatively routine to very serious so quickly. I'm glad he is in good hands and I hope he keeps feeling better and getting stronger.
I am just tired from two days of standing and cat-herding at the book festival, which went smoothly in my area except for the first hour in which despite reminding and then begging the hotel staff, we had no water and no mikes for the speakers. After that things went swimmingly, except that an extremely vocal church had services in an adjacent room. Also, I can still be surprised by how much gall some people can have. Two of the rooms were the typical hotel ballroom with a divider in place. When an event in one room filled to capacity, some people who couldn't get in took it upon themselves to go tell the hotel management to remove the divider. Uh, no. You got there late. Suck it up.
I keep thinking I can find the right shoes or inserts to keep my feet and back from going, but I suspect the fault is not in my shoes, but in my weight.
