River: They weren't cows inside. They were waiting to be, but they forgot. Now they see the sky and they remember what they are. Mal: Is it bad that what she said made perfect sense to me?

'Safe'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

An interesting night for dreams.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

A close friend of mine died of AIDS about 16 years ago. For a few years after, I kept dreaming he was still alive, and very sick. Often I'd think, "Wait, I thought he died. We have to go through all this stuff again?," which was weird. (When I'd wake up, I'd be surprised I wasn't happy he was alive in my dream, but instead I just dreaded his decline and death.) Then one night I dreamed about him and told him, "I hate to tell you this, but you're dead." He just nodded.

After that, I dreamed about him much less. Weird.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I'm waiting for someone to get home and check their front door for a package. The wait is driving me batty. What if they don't go home? What if the package isn't there? What if they don't like what's in it?

Oops, that was me! I just posted in Goodbye and Good Riddance, but THANK YOU for the fantastic gifts! And I'm sorry I didn't get online last night to say so; I don't tend to spend much time online during weeknights, since I'm on the computer all day at work, and my computer at home takes forever to boot up.

An odd night for dreams, indeed. I dreamed that I was pregnant (also a common theme in my dreams recently) and then I gave birth to two tiny, very premature babies that looked like tadpoles. I was happy but also worried for them and I couldn't tell anyone about them because they weren't "ready" yet. Very weird feeling.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Just posted in Natter:

Old headline from the National Examiner:

Girl gives birth to a frog!

"Doctors blame LSD."

So I guess we've gotten to the bottom of that one.

Heh. No more LSD after 9pm for me!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I dreamt I was riding the bus with someone I was having an affair with, but I couldn't see his face. We were three to a seat and uncomfortable, so he moved back, and then when it cleared out, I got an empty seat and looked back at him to join me...and it was the SO.

I dreamt I was cheating on the SO with the SO?

Ann, that's a ferret.

Liese, there's a song about that. Do you like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain?

Did he have a goatee?

Wait! Does DH currently have a goatee? Maybe he swapped out a long time ago and your subconscious is trying to tell you something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for the earworm. I was having trouble getting Peaceful Easy Feeling out of my head, and now I miss it.
