Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Smashing my head against a wall is bad, right?

Even if the wall has it coming, I recommend putting on a helmet first.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Smashing my head against a wall is bad, right?

This is why I think all offices need a small padded room.

The status is NOT quo.

I've also discovered that my mild distaste for talking on the phone has gone through the roof right now. Mostly because I can't keep it together when I talk on the phone, and then I start crying. Email, texts, no problem. Phone calls with anyone other than my Dad? The meltdown fairy visits.

Jilli, I think that's completely normal. I really didn't answer the phone for the month of September for this very reason. Just keep breathing (and texting) and know you are loved.

P.S. Regarding tea, it is entirely the House of Reason's fault that I am obsessed with Mighty Leaf Tea and keep them in business with my online orders alone.

Our wings are not tired.

Mighty Leaf Vanilla Bean Tea!!

Is it cheaper to order online? I buy it at my local market for $8 something.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I drink Constant Comment tea at work, mostly because I don't like their coffee. Of course, I drink 2-3 mugs of strong coffee at home before heading out, so the tea isn't really my main caffeine delivery system.

Smashing my head against a wall is bad, right?

Right. Perhaps there's another, more deserving person's head you could smash against a wall instead?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Mighty Leaf Vanilla Bean Tea!!

I am sorely tempted to make this my superhero name.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

This is why I think all offices need a small padded room.

That would totally help.

Right. Perhaps there's another, more deserving person's head you could smash against a wall instead?

There is. But I took a few minutes to calm down, realized you can't change things that have happened (like, oh, one of my inside trees getting knocked over by a careless person, thus soaking my carpet with a lot of very wet soil) and so they'll come back next week and clean my carpet there. There is no way to go back in time and have it not happen...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Here's where I need to recommend my friend Ben's tea company. Their stuff is awesome. [link]

Also I am eating. Blood sugar crashes don't lead to the best reactions.
