Lorne: My little prince. Oh…what did they do to you? Angel: Nina…tried to…eat me. Lorne: Oh, you're--medic! You're gonna make it Angel. Just don't stop fighting. Doctor! Is there a Gepetto in the house?

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We aren't really the boss, are we?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

argh. finally got the itemization on the big home-weatherizing project. total over $15k (payment around $100/month) including $300 for loan fees and $600 for the assessment. Is that as high as it seems to me?

How much are your monthly energy bills? What's the interest rate?

erin_obscure - Jan 12, 2011 11:54:31 am PST #12974 of 30000
Occasionally I’m callous and strange

My monthly power bill is usually less than $50. Interest rate is 5.99%

eta: highest heating bill i've had in this house was $68 last december, when it was really cold and i was spending a lot of time at home with the heat crank as i recovered from breaking my foot.

Is it going to included both heating and A/C? Do you need a new duct system?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I have no A/C. It covers new furnace ($5) new water heater ( $2k) blowing insulation into all the exterior walls ($3k), insulating the attic and one wall of the basement that it is not, air-sealing and caulking. I had made peace with the cost of all the improvements above, but the fees are a new source of irritation.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

erin, it still sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
