May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

Deal with the boss on Monday.

Oh, boss SO doesn't email. We check her email and respond for her.

Sometimes sitting in a hospital room is the loneliest thing in the world, even when you aren't the patient. Maybe especially when you aren't the patient.

Honey, I think each are equally lonely in their own ways. We're here. Reach out in any way you need.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh honey, I so know how you feel.

You don't need hugs, but what do you need (that we might provide?) Entertainment?

I went out this afternoon and after a chilly morning it was nice and sunny so I stopped at a bar to have beer on the patio.

Two sips in, the wind caught the big laminated menu, which then sent my phone flying and my beer straight onto my lap (and my book). Awesome.

I got another and spent the next hour carefully turing soggy pages until my pants dried enough that I could walk home without looking like I peed myself.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Well, it entertained me!

Pix, I so hate this whole mess. I wish I could be sitting with you.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Pix, do you need books or other distracting things we can send you for when your at the hospital? It is so hard to just sit there.

Pix, do you play Lexulous on FB? I'd be glad to start a game with you if it would help keep you distracted.

Watching to make sure they stay breathing gets very boring, but you just can't take your eyes away. I've found that shifting the damned uncomfortable chair so you can face them and link fingers is at least conducive to naps.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Thanks. I've never played; what is it?

Having company, even online company, helps. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I'd run out to pick Kaylee up from doggy day camp, get pet food, go home, feed pets, and then feed myself. I'm temporarily collapsed on the couch. I should turn around and go back to the hospital, but I'm too drained to get back in the car.

I don't want to complain or whine here because then Drew will eventually read it and feel guilty, which is the last thing I want. One of the downsides to be married to a fellow Buffista, perhaps.

He tells me not to rush over and not to worry about staying long, but it's hard when I never know when a doctor might show up and give is more news or test results or when Drew might have a period of lucidity and get bored or lonely.

It's like Scrabble.
