Occasionally I’m callous and strange

ugh, i feel that. i finally gave in and bought a heating pad and it must be one of the greatest inventions ever. absolutely blissfull. The only down side is that my boobs totally get in the way of heating my chest from the front, so i end up heating my back to loosen the chest congestion. someone should make heating vests.

Art Crawl!!!

Apparently, being sick this New Year's is a family thing: my sister-in-law posted on fb that my brother is sick too.

Oooh. That's a thought, heating...I don't have a heating pad, but have a sock full of rice type thing, that I can put in the microwave. I feel worse today than I did yesterday. Blech. Not helping my plans to make this weekend a "plan the new year/clean all things/be ready for Monday after two weeks vacation" time. Argh.

the heating pad isn't as good as sitting in a hot tub...but since my bathub is too shallow to cover my chest and it's nearly $5 a pop to go to the nearest community center w/ a hot tub....yeah, the heating pad is da bomb. last night i had it against my back while reading, waiting for the codeine to kick in, cat curled up on my lap purring...it was like heaven.

eta: heaven for the slightly sickly homebound person, at least

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Heating pads are wonderful. Heated rice socks also good. I have microwaveable slippers! Off to party. It's next door - I can actually walk there - this means I can drink. This does not bode well for my plans to work tomorrow, does it?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I am blessedly not sick (touch wood), but it's a dreary day outside and I just want to snuggle the pup and watch movies. However, I need to Organize All The Things or Get Rid of Them. And I have work work to do, and financial stuff and...

Good point. Although it's a bank holiday here tomorrow. I just have big plans for starting the year well. Um. We'll see.

Today is being mildly productive. I have undecorated the tree did some dishes turned the dishwasher on and have a load of laundry in .DH also fixed our new-to-us elliptical trainer so that it doesn't rattle anymore. So i can in theory use it.
