'Conversations with Dead People'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The family is just usually not this way. It's like suddenly there's no one left except for another uncle's wife and she just unilaterally decides things now.

It seems there is always someone who pushes to the front and begins calling the shots, regardless of their relationship (and sometimes, lack thereof) to the deceased. Because everyone else is in grief, the bossy one usually gets what they want.

It's sad, and can cause irreparable damage. My prescription is generally patience and a focus on YOUR relationship with the deceased, regardless of how publicly it gets acknowledged.

Honestly, I'm in the middle of something similar and really, truly feel for you.

I think that's where the cousins and I are at. It just sucks to feel completely cut off from my family that has been such a huge part of my life.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Aw, I'm fine really, but thanks for the hugs. Hugs are always welcome.

Well, I'm glad your situations are not getting you too down. But why wait until they are, to give out hugs. That is a tough, sad situation to be in. And you both deserve to know that you are cared for.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

DJ, I am hugging you from afar.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

PC! Jon gave my phone an update and bricked it.

Oh no!

Yesterday ended up being kind of a mess, today we have plans for the Saints/Falcons I forgot about, tomorrow my friend is in from Sydney, and we both are working late on Wednesday. I'm sorry, but it looks like we'll likely have to crap out.

That's too bad! I'm here for another week, though, so send me an e-mail or Facebook message if you guys are free after Wednesday.
