Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

it's a miracle! my throat agony is down to dull irritation, i slept for more than 4 hours last night, and i dreamt of pie. Actually looking forward to work tomorrow. Yup, definitely feeling better :) Keeping my fingers crossed that the delicate voice can survive an entire 10 hr shift, but xmas day is usually one of the slow ones so i have well-founded hope.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Having been in Best Buy twice yesterday, you're a crazy person, Connie. The crowds weren't frantic, but the lines were long. And there was no getting around that.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Less-drama~ma, Pix.

Anti-itchy thoughts for you, smonster!

We've spent the last three days visiting family, and are now back in Nottingham for our first Christmas just the two of us, which we're oddly excited about (generally being bah humbug types). I've managed to wrap The Girl's presents and drag them downstairs and they're under the tree. I just woke up my Jewish atheist from her nap before I drag her to midnight Mass, but not before we read some ghost stories (or watch the seasonal QI episode with Daniel Radcliffe). We've decided to be a walking cliché this year AIFG. Presents! Turkey! Carols! Corrupting of Jewish atheists! All the traditional stuff.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

The kitchen is full of cookies!
Oh that reminds me, Laga what should I pick up/make for the party tomorrow?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ta Da! I got to leave work after 3 1/2 hours. There's been light snow off and on all day, but so far the roads remain passable.

WindSparrow, how are you feeling?

My throat is all better. I'm hoping to avoid a repeat of a couple of years ago, when I had the same thing every month for 5 months. Thinking about it is a little panic-making.

I'm sorry to hear that you are getting itchy again, smonster. How is your sister? Holding steady for now?

It would be great if your almost-ex-roommie joined us.

Ginger, I trust you were able to collect Mr. Peabody and get on the road. Also, safe driving.

Pix, sorry to hear about the drama.

Spidra, I hope you get some peace for your gut as well as for your higher functions.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

omnis, feel free to bring anything that won't make dishes, J's family leaves for skiing early tomorrow. I'm bringing green olive tapenade on toast points. I think MK is bringing pie.

Always Anti-fascist!

All y'all heartburn people, try eating yogurt. My digestion has been so much better since I eat it most days.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Thanks, WS.

Thanks, Erika. In my case, it's a mechanical issue rather than a content of my diet issue. As soon as I lose the weight, the majority of symptoms will go away. However, live culture yogurt is a great thing in and of itself.

Just had my first meal of the day - onion soup.

Took a bike ride to pick up a bunch of diet soda for my mom. The boxboy did a double take when he saw me load 5 12-packs of soda on my Xtracycle. I love freaking out supermarket people that way. On the bad side, the supermarket STILL doesn't have a bike rack. Thisiswhyyourefat.com should include pictures of businesses with no bike racks, towns with broad car lanes but no bike lanes nor sidewalks.

Continued good wishes for all of those with medical issues, holiday family stress, travel stress, etc. I hope those who celebrate this holiday have a good 'un!

Always Anti-fascist!

I was just trying to eat more calcium...the digestive relief is a great side benefit.
