Y'all knew I was thinking them though, right?
Indeed. Because also been there and know I am not alone.
Ouchy, may R have a quick recovery.
My son Brendon went shopping with me. Got a couple things off the list. I haven't been this late at it in years. DH has agreed to get up at 5am or so and hit up some places when the lines might be sane. B and I went into JCPenny at the mall, took one look at the checkout line and didn't even check to see if they had the stuff on our list. Yikes, I dislike shopping. Never again will I wait until after web shopping time.
Good grief, finally finished wrapping. Never been this late with it before.
Web shopping and shipping to my parents' house is my savior.
So tired. My flight home will also be my salvation but not until the 27th. I'm not even Grinchy, just wishing there were a day off somewhere in my schedule.
We are tucked into our hotel in La Mesa. Tomorrow morning we join the circus that is my family. Thankfully we head back up home to Pasadena Saturday evening.
Wisdom tooth healing is itchy! Itchy mouth is weird.
Distance makes the breakdowns farther apart.
I avoid my sister and I avoid a lot of the eye rolls. Through my brother got in some spectacularly tasteless homophobic remaks at dinner. Good times.
But I have an escape location and am very glad for it. Now to see about sleep. Mmmm, blessed sleep.
Ooo, Hil. Itchy mouth is indeed weird. Hope it goes away soon.
Hey, it's my nightly anxiety attack! Feel free to GO AWAY AND NEVER COME BACK, you asshole.
My brother came out here yesterday afternoon and we ran some errands, including getting our dad's gift, which involved a totally painless trip to Radio Shack. Then we had southern food for dinner and went to our friend's house to catch up with him and his BF. Got tipsy on just two glasses of wine! Woo. It's always nice to have some sibling time without the parents around. I just wish my sis could have come, too.
Speaking of, Christmas could get interesting. My sister doesn't do holidays well at the best of times, so besides being worried about her health I'm bracing myself for meltdowns. As long as we can make it through without an ER visit for the gallstone, I guess I'll count us lucky. Just have to remember to take the makings for bourbon and ginger.
Cass, if you are in the LA area, and need an escape zone, cmon down to Long Beach. My house might not be the cleanest, but your more than welcome. Actually, apartment is in half decent shape right now. Anyhow, we can always look at the start/finish line for the LB Toyota Grand Prix!
Ooooohhh...
Remember the bourbon and gingers in Wisconsin with the homemade ginger ale? (Well, restaurant made)
smonster, so much ~ma for R. Please give her my love.
Happy holidays, all.
