Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

{{{ DJ }}}}

Tons of health~ma to thems that needs it. Y'all need to get healthy!

Mom's visit is half done. Drive her to the train station in the morning. So far, pretty low key. Things would be better if it wasn't pouring buckets.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

~ma to all the sickos.

I just wanted to set this apart from the general conversation and admire it.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, Daisy. I wish I could give you a hug and a bottle of good scotch right now.

What Plei said. I am so sorry, DJ. For the loss, for the not knowing, for the everything.

and just as an FYI, you 'adjust' to being short of breath. Most of the people I know that are asthmatic don't always recognizes how bad things are

::raises hand::

::coughs into elbow::

Yeah, when I moved here, my asthma got way worse and I didn't notice how bad it was until I actually could breathe again.

Dude, who GETS pleurisy?!?

Dunno. I got pertussis.

I will admit, it made me stop making consumption jokes immediately though. Because "Dude, who GETS olde fashioned disease?!?" is less funny when you, you know, get it.

Feel better, Tep.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Then I remembered most of the people I know that are sick are on the internet. I don't think I caught this from internet people

Seriously, I know so many meatspace AND internet people who are sick right now, it's astonishing.

Tim and I went to a Christmas party last Saturday (10 days ago, not 2), and he and I were both sick. In the week after the party, I think at least 6 people reported getting sick. And we didn't make out with people or drink out of people's glasses or cough on them.

There was one other person at that party who had a cold, so we keep blaming her. But we actually think we're the Patient Zeroes. D'oh.

I started to guess pleurisy. I should have gone ahead and looked prescient.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I also hab a cod.

Cold. Not a fish, or a cold fish (although I would rather take the piscine frigidity than a pre-Xmas and travels cold. I will baby it.)

ION, boy is here!! Yay! My sister got to watch him when we were at work, getting in her first Aunt time ever (she was excited, I think, and made him pancakes) and then he played with DHall evening and watched cartoons, and we decorated the tiny tree we saved in a pretty lurid fashion.

I tried to stay mostly away, since I'm feeling sicky, but he wanted to snuggle and read the 1st Harry Potter before bed, so we did. (I think I am either the best or worst reading companion for a kid; OTOH, I never let him skip or slur words, but OTO, I define all the words, even the magic ones, really well!

I started to guess pleurisy.

A high school friend on FB just namechecked The Glass Menagerie (blue roses). I laughed and laughed, even though it made me cough.

Also, I have taken my codeine and am feeling a little sparkly, trending toward sleepy. So of course Tim decides now is the time to put up the tree. Oh, my ADD man, how I love thee.

I think that codeine puts you in the perfect state of mind to watch him decorate and critique his technique.
