Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Thanks for the nice compliments, friends. sj, I know! I can't believe he is going to be one in less than a week (12/21). Where did my tiny little baby go? (I'm actually loving him more and more every day. His personality just keeps on a-coming.)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Congrats, Aims!

I have been grading all day. Grading is done now. Well, mostly. Tomorrow, I'll have to enter the grades.

Now, I'm torn between wanting dinner, wanting a beer, and wanting to go to sleep. (I have no beer and very little food in the house right now.)

All is well that ends in pizza.

Xposty form my Facebook, it took four posts there.

I am completely frelled. I drove my car to hard on Saturday in the blizzard and blew out the water pump. All well and good, it got me home Sunday night. Andi was sick and stayed home that day, so I borrowed her car. I called around on Tuesday to get my car in somewhere, and the earliest I could get in was Saturday, I had not tried the ...local GM dealer, as they are $$$.

So I decided instead to try and get my newer project car out of the snow, and get new tires on the front by swapping them with the front tires form the old car. except I also had a flat on the new car, which is one of the things I should have taken care of in the last two months, but did not. Procrastination will get back to you. One ...of the other things I didn't do is check it out fully.

I let other things happen, expecting to work on the new car later. Well, guess what? The heater doesn't work. No blow, not radiate, nothing. Then I had so much trouble getting the standard transmission into reverse, that when I finally managed to do so, the driver's side door caught on a snowbank and bent back, Now it will need some body work to close properly.

The thing is, the door breaking was a complete fluke, I had the door almost closed and it bounced off my thigh, I reached for it and missed the handle, and it flew open and caught the snowbank. If it hadn't hit the snowbank, it would have hit the tree.

So I called the $$$ auto place, and they will take my original car with the water pump and try and fix it, but only if I can get it there at 7 AM tomorrow. Yikes. I can see no other way. I need a car, they can fix it, and I have to get to work. Andrea is off at work until 10 pm, and will not be pleased. Unfortunately they don't have any loaner cars available, so I will have to see if they can fix it right away.

Decided I was too tired to cook anything, so now I'm at the tavern around the corner. Have yeungling, waiting for burger.
