Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I share this belated Cincinnati flavored blog post (with music) for Teppy, ND and Flea.
Cool! Those are great pictures of Joey Votto (MVP!), and of the stadium.
Have you tried the Ivy-Dry [link] products, smonster? I swear by the soap, and I know people who in ivy-infested areas who say the protectant works.
Well, I washed my face and forearms with Tecnu right after, and put all my clothes straight in the washer, but my guess is that it was on my scarf or shirt collar. But at this point I will try just about anything.
How rotten for you, smonster. I hope you find a solution soon.
Daniel got on the road about quarter after nine, to go to work. I don't think he has made it there yet, at ten till eleven. He's called me and his sister a couple times to keep us updated on his progress. It really sucks that he has to risk his life to get to a job where they treat him like crap.
smonster, I wash with Tecnu daily when I've been exposed. Keep washing; it will help with the spreading. I haven't found anything that actually helps with the itching.
Actually, poison ivy doesn't spread once the oil is washed off. My GP explained last time that it seems to because the areas of less exposure blister up slower. For the itching I take zyrtec and Zantac during the day and benedryl at night. It helps but doesn't stop it entirely.
Andi, do you still want me to dig up IBS website links for your friend? I can do that today.
But at this point I will try just about anything.
Some of the guys who swore by the protecting cream were line workers with the power company, so it's probably worth trying. Unfortunately, you are probably becoming more sensitive with exposure.
After my last poison ivy adventure, I swore I'd be on the doorstep of a dermatologist at the first sign, because the cortisone shot was magic.
Yeah, I'm probably headed to the doc on Monday.
