Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

My hairdresser today gave me a free manicure as a wedding gift. He's pricey but he is very good at coloring my hair and he's such a sweetie.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Want want want want want want want want want want want want want want want.

And California has a new requirement for being enrolled in public junior high and high school. Pertussis vax on or after the tenth birthday. How honestly creepy it is to me that we have to regulate these things, I can't explain. But I am going to falsely lull myself into thinking it's an awareness thing and not ... well, what it mostly is. Yes. [edit: that should have gone in Natter. I'm not caught up in Natter right now. I might move it later.]

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

It's so weird. Today is the last day of Finals week. To go from light speed to turtle speed. Strange. So many little things to do. But they seem so unimportant with no shows going on. Why yes, Virginia, I will be leaving work early! (hopefully)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

that's always nice.

I'm trying to shop online. The yankee swap target is $40 but every time I find something perfect it's either less than $30 or more than $50. I go over every year and I'm so tempted by the Think Geek zombie-attack-survivor hoodie but it's $60. Twice now I've found DVD box sets where seasons 1-3 are cheaper than seasons 1-2 (but still $80 or so). I guess my season 1&2 Buffy set I got for $19.99 was a fluke.

taking a breath now

wow. If Think Geek were a RL store half the shelves would be empty right now.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Finished teaching for the semester! Now, sleepy time.

Or, actually, in a few minutes, there will be Dickens characters caroling in my town. So, go to see them, then sleep. Probably eat dinner, too.

I'm rewatching Buffy Season 7 (I think for the first time...as a rewatch, I mean). Boy is there a lot of Shirtless Spike in this season!

I almost posted that on FB, but then thought that some of my people might not find that as amusing as others...

Well, the Scrooge was the post-ghosts Scrooge, so Scrooge was telling everybody how wonderful Christmas is. That really takes most of the fun out of Scrooge. Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come dropped his English accent after about two sentences and was mostly just chatting with people, totally out of character. (Well, he was in some character, just not the right one.) Several women in Victorian dresses with fun hats and atrocious accents -- I couldn't identify which was was supposed to be which character. I went to the opening ceremony thing, and the schedule had said that we would then be caroling down the street to get to the concert, but it turned out that was just walking, no singing.
