and oddly, at least one of the big name online flower/ordering/delivery places won't deliver to a hospital. to which i screamed "wha aaaa aaaaat?!?!?!" at the monitor. Aren't they screwing themselves out of tons of business?

Here is a conversation my brother and my mom had today:
Mom: "If you had to choose between us and [GF], who would you pick?"
Brother: "That's a stupid question. I'm not going to answer that. It would be like me asking you to pick between me and [my sister]."
Mom: "Right now, honestly, I would pick [your sister] because at least she is being good and listens to us."
And then he hung up on her because, you know, what the fuck. She called back and said that he asked her to choose, so she chose, which is a bullshit answer. She told him to focus on his studies, that's all she wants now. And later sent him a text that she loves him and is sorry for hurting his feelings.
I kind of feel sorry for her at this point. She doesn't know how to deal with this at all. And I don't know how to help her. Nothing we say gets through to her. But it's kind of fun in a sad and horrible way to watch her say more and more ridiculous things. It's showing so signs of ending.
(And before that conversation happened, she told my brother that he didn't want him to tell me all this like, "Oh, I just had the fourth talk with Mommy." Yeah, that wasn't going to not happen. Um. I think I double-negatived that properly.)
