The two kids I went to meet today are adorable and just the sweetest things! I'm babysitting for the littler one on Monday for a couple of hours while her brother is at school and her mother goes Christmas shopping.

So after the death talk today, I got the kind of call no one ever wants to get. It's always sudden. And this time, unexpected, sudden and completely unfair and wrong. My friend, Sarah, who has been my friend for 30 years passed away in her sleep. She has 2 little girls who are trying to make sense of their mommy being gone so quickly and a husband who is in total shock. I am wrecked.

I called home to tell my mom and was crying so hard I couldn't even get it out. When I finally told her in a way she could understand, she could barely speak. Sarah and I have been friends since we were 12. She lived at my house and me at hers. We shared our parents with each other. I can't even wrap my brain around this.
