Well, I had some frozen bananas, and when I thawed them to use in bread, the result was horrific watery nastiness.

Well I have managed to make several walks for the sole purpose of taking pictures and saying goodbyes. I know I'll be back to visit, but unlike last time I moved away, I am not confident that I will ever move back. Very sad.

How do zombies seek and use information? What are their information needs?

Their information needs primarily consist of finding brains. They pretty much search by geographic proximity and pattern matching. The type of browsing they do doesn't seem to be well supported by information systems.

How should a reference interview with a Zombie go? No studies have been published on walk-up reference, but there are some ideas on doing phone or virtual reference. The zombies aren't really good with a mouse, so in virtual reference it's best to send images. In telephone reference, screaming doesn't seem to help, just repeat back their question and then slowly repeat the instructions on how to locate brains.

As all of you obviously know, July 1 is International Zombie Day - celebrated around the world by the zombifying oneself, posting brain recipes, strategies for fightin' em off, etc... Well, ok, it is kind of a new, science-blogs-only-holiday so far (credit for the idea goes to Scicurious!), but following the stunning success of international talk like a pirate day, I'm assuming that the major media will pick it up any time now.

Zombie women of the world, I ask you: why are we content to shamble aimlessly along behind our brethren, following them willy-nilly, eating the leftover brains, and cleaning up after they senselessly destroy some village? Would it kill them to take a turn minding the zombikins for a change? No, it would not. Because they are undead.

There I was just last week, shambling along after Nigel on Shakedown Street. Like he knew where he was going! "Would it fucking KILL you to stop and ask for directions?" I asked him for the eleventy-fucktillionth time. "I'm pretty sure we are shambling away from the Mutter Museum, not towards it." I am sure you know what happened next. He just zombisplained me about zombie men's superior shambling gait and kept on in the same direction.

I have a friend who uses frozen bananas to make smoothies. I'm guessing that any extra moisture is beneficial in that usage.
