I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I poo in blue.

That's . . . refreshingly straight forward.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Aw, his first US passport!

My god, the swim was awesome. I totally had a rhythm going that zenned me out.

I just found out Loki got big time spoiled this weekend. Anna would go hang out on our decks and let him go back and forth as she read the paper and gardened. HOURS. Two weekends in a row! He even got to go over and explore her house top to bottom. He had Big Adventures! Devi even briefly came out on the deck. She tried bringing Mister Kitty over, but he wanted to go back to sleep in my bedrooms, silly old man. She has central air!

Our wings are not tired.

Anna sounds like a great kitty-sitter!!

Okay, I hope this isn't too strange, but. My aunt Sharon stayed with me two weekends ago, and then took the train up to Auburn and was there one week. This morning we had a few hours together after picking her up from the Amtrak station in Jack London square and before her flight out of Oakland. We got on the subject of adoption from Kenya (where she lives) and I mentioned msbelle. We ended up spending 30 minutes of our lunch looking at pics of Mac on my iPhone (Facebook) with my aunt oooing and coooing over how beautiful he is. She loved the picture of Mac and grandma in the hospital after his surgery. And I mention that megan (whom she met last weekend) is good friends with msbelle and my aunt says, "wait? you've never met Mac? Or msbelle??" And I say nope, but I will someday. And my aunt Sharon nearly cried and she said it was so neat that we all care about each other so much even though we've never met.

The end.

p.s. Yes, I know Mac is from Ethiopia. kthanxbye

Our wings are not tired.

She was so into all of the pics, even though she had to squint to see them on the iPhone. And so now she knows all about the move to Texas and Mac's grandparents and his uncle G and on an on. She couldn't get enough info. And she thinks msbelle is awesome. And I agreed and then we ate our eggs.
