this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We had burritos at the F2F? Or have I been skimming? Is this a non-burrito place? Or a burrito place at which I had non-burrito food?

No, no - the breakfast place we went out to, just the two of us. Just a fancy little corner place in Noe Valley. You were in love with their eggs and rosemary bread toast.

Oh, yeah! I mean, I remember going out to breakfast with you, but all the burrito talk made me wonder if we went to a burrito place and I didn't realize it was a burrito place.

Those eggs were so good (scrambled with Jarlsberg and avocado -- I replicate that combo all the time)! Almost as good as the company.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Was there anything on the Daily Show or Colbert in the last week and a half that I absolutely shouldn't miss?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary's grandfather passed away yesterday, at the age of 97. Not totally unexpected, as he had been sick, but still sad. Gary and his mom have gone up to New York, where the funeral will be. I decided not to go, as I didn't think I could take the time off.

Loki's a known paper shredder, and has gone after the inserts before, but today, they were extra thick and jammed in the mailslot, so they stayed put while he went to town. I'm sure he thought the mailperson had given him the best present EVAH!

OK, bills all caught up and (ironically) shredding of other mail done.

Condolences, Sheryl.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

surprised (and not a little embarrassed) to discover that Krav Maga wasn't a Klingon thing.

... it's not?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Last week's TDS had a great bit at the end of one of John Oliver's World Cup reports where they were talking about the upcoming match between England and Germany, and Jon Stewart said something about how, if England gets into trouble with Germany, the US could come on in and "save your asses like we did in WWII!!" And Oliver's response was the now-classic line "Go fuck yourself, Stewart!" Very funny.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

All things considered, I'll probably end up watching all of them by the time the long weekend is done, since I have no plans....

Did you see the Betty White TDS? IIRC, that was funny all the way through.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think that was maybe the last one I saw before I left.
