I have a near-overwhelming desire to just go home. There is, like, nothing for me to do at work for the next 6 weeks. It feels ridiculous to complain about being paid to do nothing most of the day, but it's freakin' killing me. I need structure, people! Accomplishments make me feel good about myself!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
flea, wanna research on the TiVO site what I need to do wrt moving?
make the reservations ( fast)
write up the invoice process and the check it by processing the invoices
any time you need a break call a vendor.
I knw that is only part of your list, and I don't know what is important -- but it breaks part of it down in a related looking way -- which you can ignore
flea I just have to commiserate. I just started a new job with an organization that is bureaucratic and slow moving. I'm in my third week and I still have no phone, v/m, no access to the sytems I'll be working with, and it will take four weeks to obtain the licenses for software I'll need to do my job.
There's only so much reading of procedural documents and the slow trickle of emails that can keep me entertained. The day crawls by and it's wreaking havoc with my self esteem and mood.
Re smoked salmon vodka:
Once the fish is smoked, the skin is removed and employees masticate the fillets.
Doesn't that sound like the employees chew the fish and spit it out?
msbelle, when we moved, we just connected it to the tv and the internet connection and reset it up wrt channel lineup, etc. It was pretty easy.
the bar/lounge is NOT answering the phone!
Doesn't that sound like the employees chew the fish and spit it out?
Like they chew it, at any rate. The word they were looking for is "macerate", which is fancy-ass-latinate for "I'm pointing and laughing at you, dumbasses".
Maybe they mean macerate?
eta: amych said it better.
But macerate is for fruit...
