Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay for sleeping!

Good luck to Bob and your friend, Lisa.

I brought my rent check and stamps into work, but no envelope. Now I can't find a non-letterhead envelope here. Oh well.

Punishingly Intricate

Thanks, guys. My biggest worry is that something will show up that will either postpone his reversal or worse. I'm being positive about it all but it's hard not to worry.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Fingers crossed for Bob and for Best friend!

I totally understand this. But the status quo would be better than a problem, which isn't reassuring, but still. I hope everything goes well, lisah.

Jesse, welcome back! I've missed you.

Thanks, Kat! I finally used the awesome Bobbsey Twins notebook you made me years ago for this trip, and it was PERFECT -- I think I have one blank page left. And many people complimented it, and were super-impressed that someone I know made it.

HA! I just found another one I had made, The Great Depression, but the cover is almost off. SAD.

I miss making things. Right now, my life is full of things I can't control.

We're leaving for Idaho on Thursday. I need some book recs... anything I must read?

My best to Bob & Best Friend, lisah.

DH got quoted by the NYT, which has made his day: [link]

Jeff Abramson, a senior analyst at the Arms Control Association, a private group in Washington, said the new policy “sets the stage for progress in space arms control — without getting into specifics.”

I am so swamped with work right now, and July is not going to be fun because we are all on overlapping vacations for most of the month.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Lots of ~ma headed to you and Bob and your BF.

Kat, I'm so glad you got to sleep in. Wonderful.

Jesse, I want to hear more about where you went in Turkey! I spent ten days there after I finished my Peace Corps service and it was the best vacation of my life. Did you visit an underground city? Walk barefoot up the hill in Pamukkale? Swim and laze on a volcanic beach? Go to a hamam? Drink lots of apple tea? Shop for carpets and kilims? Eat lots of seafood? See bellydancers and/or whirling dervishes?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Wait a minute. Time Magazine agrees that middlebrow is not the solution? That's kind of like Trotsky saying that communism is not the solution, or Cosmopolitan saying that orgasms aren't the solution.

Yes, we're fully conscious of the irony of the situation.
