Also relatedly, the zipper on my suitcase is nearly broken, although the rest of the bag is in good shape. Is there anything to be done? Does anyone replace suitcase zippers?

Caterpillars and larvae in general are to me what spiders are to Jilli. There was a memorable incident when I was shucking corn for dinner. The guests were already there. When I got to the corn earworm, I screamed, threw the ear of corn and had to be talked back into the kitchen.
