And also, what you were seeing sounds like solar hot water, which is also cheaper than solar power, and is available here.
I believe this was both, but maybe not. This website doesn't show what I was seeing, or prices, but it is adorable!

Ooh, and Jesse, I think I need a new addy for you. I still feel weird sending you my company prayer request letters 'cause it's so churchy linguistically, but I figure you know me, you can translate. lisa at hopeintransit.org works for me to send me your snailmail.
ave never taken a solo vacation, nor taken one with friends, just family, other than long weekends for F2Fs.
I think an F2F counts as a vacation with friends, but heartily exhort you to take more with more friends.
They rock.
Mine are, these days, usually with or to family, and often with my sister. We travel together like a well oiled holidaying machine.
The Supreme Court has just fucked with Sarbanes Oxley. Like anyone understood it before.
Wimbledon was exciting today, and I forgot to set the TiVo to record. Dammit. Must catch highlights.
I always loved conferences for work. I got a hotel room to myself, I had obligations so I didn't just hang in my room and sleep, but I also got to go out and explore cities at least a little on my own. I had a blast in the French Quarter on my own, and in Chicago, too.
I keep postponing my vacation plans, because I keep realizing the things I want to do I don't want to do alone.
Insent, Liese!

Yeah, years ago I was thinking I'd travel Europe with my girlfriend when I was in a serious relationship. But the serious relationship hasn't happened yet and I still haven't been to Europe....
Oh, god, travelling for work. I could never be like meara, I think, because that's just too much, but I did love it.
Proper business travel is the bomb. It's been years. However, business travel with a co-worker is just weird and weird. I did that a couple jobs back, and having to spend all that social time with my boss, including wine with meals, was just weird. How much can I bust out and enjoy downtown Chicago that way? Makes me into a hermit.
Last time I traveled to Houston for work, I said I was too tired to go out drinking with my boss and our clients. They ended up getting drunk and having wacky drunk-driving adventures.
So glad I missed that.

Another editor and I went to Kingston Mines and got soused and listened to music till 3 a.m. that trip. But publishing is sort of loose, at least the publisher I worked for. My boss was one of my best friends, and the big boss wasn't around except for the one big company dinner we threw for authors. (Where everyone got drunk anyway.)
