Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I had a roasted beet and goat cheese salad for lunch, roasted kohlrabi for a snack, and a cauliflower and potato curry for dinner.

I'll have to use up the spinach and summer squash before I get my my next box on Wednesday.

Jess! Yay!

22 hours in B'ham. I did not miss the humidity AT ALL. Back tomorrow night. Then to work. Oof. May be a short week, but I have a lot to cram into it. Top that off with fighting off the ick that my nephew Tyler had. It seems to be a pretty mild version (just extra snot, hasn't slowed me down at all) but I can't take any sick days this week, too many deadlines. And after being gone 10+ days, I'll have no groceries at home. Ehn.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to convince my boss tomorrow morning to move a readiness date he's really attached to. I have under an hour to do it, and then be prepped to present the new date to the Steering Committee. This is the conversation I was trying to have with him Friday, but couldn't get time to have.

It's been preoccupying me all weekend. I just can't get it out of my head. But a whole different team is depending on me to get him to change his mind about this go-live decision, and I have to get him to convince the CIO of it.

And, oh yeah, I need to wear proper business clothes too, huh? Grr. Momday.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday, Hecubus!

Happy Birthday David!!

I would like to run errands downtown today, but the Queen is in town, which I'm sure is causing all manner of traffic snarls...I think I'll sticl to suburban errands.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, David!

So, I could have gone to bed earlier than I did. I woke up wanting more sleep! I am not that excited about going to work, but I am very excited about being in air conditioning all day, since it's going to be hot hot hot here today...

RIP Robert Byrd.

The guy in the cubicle next to mine pointed out who the Senator reminded him of.

Swouncing

Skipping (yup, still grading-teaching-all-the-rest combo) because according to the Buffista Calendar, today is DavidS' birthday.

Happy birthday, Hec! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

And, yeah, I skipped, but not so much that I missed the happy news from Jess. The best news possible to skip to. So happy for you and your family.
