This is awesome!
Owning a pet AT-AT walker is a ridiculously heartwarming experience
Patrick Boivin, the filmmaker behind the Iron Baby clip, has created another absurdly cute short. In "AT-AT Day Afternoon," Boivin recasts the scourge of Echo Base as man's best friend. Look out for its droppings, though. They're kind of icky.
Happy birthday, JZ.
Calli, yes, he kind of needs@Lloyd Dobler to intervene and write "You. Must.Chill."(Life already took his car keys.)
It is amusing to read on his site, but confirms my suspicion that I do not need one.
food update from today's baking:
finished a bag of choc chips and the whole wheat flour. Also finished a jar of green olive spread.
I think I just vacuumed my own weight in dead skin cells.
Huh. I don't really know what to say to that.
They were *your* skin cells, right?
The ice cream shop down the street from me sells an "Icy Tea" which is iced tea with two scoops of lemon sorbet instead of ice cubes. It is heavenly, and the only thing currently preventing me from melting into a puddle on the thousand-degree floor.
Back from the In-laws 50th, celebrated with two days of, basically, hanging out up in gorgeous Los Osos. Lots of eating and chatting and it ended with a big barbeque and a cake and the M-I-L crying happy tears, so it was a success.
The only downside is the DH's niece, who got married last year at age 18. She has announced that she is pregnant. Neither of them finished college, They've already separated once since they got married, her husband just got a minimum wage job at U-Haul, she's unemployed and they have no insurance. And yet--they "planned" this baby. WTF.
Sometimes I think it's not such a bad thing I have no extended family. I get enough drama from the immediates.
