Hec, is JZ sharing some of her birthday Cowgirl Creamery with you?
Not yet, though I expect it will be set out for the Ple Fam this evening.

Wow, you guys are WAY nicer about sharing Cowgirl than I am! I'd have it hidden in the baseboards!
You know what looks good, though? The Aurora Australis from outer space.
That is gorgeous.
Xusa (thick coated powershedder cat) loves it, Frankie likes it, Bella hates it but thankfully doesn't need it. I swear I could furminate Xusa every day and she'd just make more.
Frankie wouldn't eat today, so I cooked some hot dog and hid it under his regular food. It worked and he ate it all. He seems to not feel great today, even though I took him for a walk and he got to play with his friend Juno. He has a fleece dolly and he's been carrying it around with him. It's ridic cute.
Moved laundry to dryer and started another load, fixed and ate lunch, changed clothes. Next is getting ready to go and calling my friend F.
Thanks for the link. Ordered and added the waterless cat shampoo.
Love how we are all dealing with shedding critters at the same time.
Yesterday, I took Tanuki out to eat grass and generally just be outside and hair was just blowing off of her. Sigh.
How does the Furminator compare to a regular brush? My kitty requires brushing every day and she loves it.
What is a furminator? And does it work on cats?
It definitely works on cats. When we get it out, Toke runs up and demands to be furminated. Slinky tolerates it.
Chloe likes it, but I think that's only because she likes ANY attention paid to her.
Kato tolerates it, because he is the most good-natured dog in the world.
IOpetN, we have a new rule in the house: any and all tennis balls within Kato's line of sight belong to him. I found one in a box on the dining room table (go figure) and dropped it, and he zoomed in from another room to claim it. And informed me in no undertain terms that he would not share. Although he would deign to let me toss it for him to fetch.
Okay, back to more pre-vacation must-clean-house-deeply-for-the-petsitter. (No, we don't leave for a week [OMG VACATION IN A WEEK!], but our sloth is such that it's going to take that long to get the house company-clean.) Am currently sorting out papers on the dining room table. Maybe we'll actually eat dinner at it tonight.
tommy, there is no comparison; furminators are magic.
Smonster, Cayenne is not a big eater usually, and when she's feeling nervous she won't eat. BUT, a little cottage cheese and she will eat it all. Sometimes she just has to get started and then "whoa I AM HUNGRY!!!!" kicks in. Sounds like Frankie is the same.
The Furminator is all the rage around the parks. Some dogs, who appreciate being massaged and deeply touched, love it. Dogs who aren't all that cuddly, or who have skin issues, do not. It tugs more than other combs, thus the successful 'extra dog to knit' effectiveness of it.
I'm envious that it works on Chloe, Steph. It doesn't pick up anything from Bartleby.
We brushed yesterday...which takes 3 different tools. A shedding blade first. Then a grooming mitt with small tynes. We finish with a cat brush with tiny, tiny tynes and a groove that I use on his legs and tail.
I cannot BELIEVE the amount of fur he generates in a day. And it's not that nice fluffy fur you can pick off fabric with tape, or anything civilized like that. Needles! Needles. Ergh.
I've got a fine-toothed comb for Amarna. She's a short-haired domestic black cat who will only allow me to comb her when she's curled up on my chest, and that will only last a few minutes before she's had enough, so I'm guessing that furminator would not be acceptable.
She's finally curled up on the chair next to the computer desk after sitting on the end table on my right and head-butting my upper arm to get me to pet her.
I have a furminator, which Perkins the cat will tolerate for about 5 minutes at most, and Dita tries to eat before it touches her, but it is still awesome.
I've had a pretty good day so far. I had a great morning visit with Plei and Paul and Lily, with numy food, and Lily being adorable and somewhat overcaffeinated (pictures soon) and then Plei and I went to Sally Beauty and bought nail polish, then I got my hair cut.
Now I am home, and waiting for stupid comcast, but even though I am sad at missing out on Buffista time, this way I can get ready for brunch and not have to worry about fighting Pride traffic
