I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ha. I tried to start the wave at the Apache graduation last month. But it was pretty much just me. Hee.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Do they get to stop playing for the light, at least, or are there evil floodlights to play under?

They stopped yesterday because of sunset, and picked up today....

If someone wins this set, will he win the match? Or will they have to KEEP PLAYING?

Then they'll have to start walking, like in that Stephen King short story about the long walk....

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

My word. This must come under the definition of torture.*

*My view may be affected by the tennis lessons at school lasting all of half an hour, which totally did.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

John Isner and Nicolas Mahut are currently at 6-4,3-6,6-7,7-6,39-38.

How does one get a 3-6 set? Wouldn't you stop at 3-5? And what about the 6-7/7-6 sets? I thought you had to win by two.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

No, you have to reach 6.

And what about the 6-7/7-6 sets? I thought you had to win by two.

That indicates a set that was won by a tiebreak. They reached 6-6 and then had to play the tiebreak.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They reached 6-6 and then had to play the tiebreak.

Yeah, at Wimbledon you can tiebreak except in the fifth set.

eta: Although, theoretically, the tiebreak can last forever, since you have to win by two points. And any game can last forever, since you have to win by two points. So there's a lot of eternity in tennis.

Oooh something's happening. Talking is occurring.

Wow, they're threatening to stop for the day. Isner wants to keep going, Mahut wants to stop. The audience wants them to keep going.
