Do you guys think that people are getting dumber, or is it the prevalence of comments sections on every news article that just gives dumb people a microphone they didn't have before.
I'm constantly blown away by how vehemently stupid people will defend their own stupidity. And there are SO MANY of them.

I's not just the comments section. I'm noticing a higher number of stupid letters to the editor as well, so not only do the stupid not realized their stupidity, they seem to be working under the misapprehension that it is offering some insight.
