I am the fly who dreams of the spider

And I feel like a heel because I'm making it all about meeeee! When it's my brother's girlfriend who's got the shit end of the stick, but it feels like everything will fall apart for everyone if he fucks it up with her, and it's horribly depressing that he went so far today. That the behaviours that we thought he was past are still strongly present. He's a heroin addict, addictive personality, and if she leaves him, it will just get worse all over again. And just yesterday she was talking about when they had kids someday.

And when I tried to talk about how I felt to my dad, he snapped "Oh calm down" which just made me want to smash a brick in his face. Yes, let's all bury our faces in the sand and keep enabling the shit who IS STILL STEALING FROM HIS FAMILY. I've never been so relieved about being broke.

Thanks, Ginger.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Finally finished The Wire. How do people get work done instead of evangelizing about this show every day? I'm filled with the spirit.

Ha ha ha. I know, right? I thought everyone was just being hyperbolic, and then I watched the show and now I am one of Those People.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So I've been considering a DS for Emeline but focusing on the educational games instead of the gamey-games. I know that they have been a source of frustration and badness for others here, but are there benefits to them?

Suzi! I will been in Denver July 11-13.

See, I was waiting for you.

Also, gronk. Baby girl had a 103 fever yesterday. (She's fine, bouncing back admirably. It will take me longer to get over the lack of sleep.)

Awwwww. Now I feel am smoooshy. (eta - so smooshy, I can't even type out "all smooshy" without messing it up. And now smooshy has no meaning any more)

Children do have that crazy ability to bounce back while we are left in the dust behind them. No fair. But I'm glad she is feeling better.

Yay for Sparky coming to Denver! Let me know when you have some time and we can get together. My profile addy is good.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

I've heard good things about The Wire, but all I've ever heard is that it's brilliant, I don't even know the premise. Hah. So, here's your chance, evangelize at me! I watch way too much TV, I'm always in search of something new =)

Seriously, Fred, that needs to be said out loud.
