I took the intermediate HSK, which stands for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi, which means Chinese Level Test. I speak rather well in real-life situations, and I understand TV shows and conversations that aren't being directed at me, but this test was rough. There just wasn't enough time to think about anything! But I just took it to see how I'd do, so it's not the end of the world =)
I've heard it's pretty brutal. Still, total dàhuà rights if you do well.

meara, unless you can pick your own lock, you're probably stuck with calling a locksmith. One of the first things I bought for my new house was a key hider, because of my tendency to forget trivial stuff like keys.

I know I'll give my parents a spare set of keys, but I also think I'll have 2 hide-a-keys. I did once lock myself out of an apartment like 3 times in one week. Here in NY, I think 5 people have spare keys for me.

I've lost track of how many people have keys to my place. The petsitting company, the friend who gets my mail in the summer, friends who live in Michigan and friends who now live in Oregon. Brenda, do you still have a set from when Drew & Kristin were going to stay here?

Pretty sure my landlord/friend has keys to the house. I lost a set of keys recently, I think in the yard, so I need to get another set made.
