Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Plei!

Today was a day. There were some lovely and yummy parts, but there was also a HUGE load of MommyFAIL! moments. Starting with my 6:30 am wake up call: "Mommy! Mommy! The tooth fairy forgot to come!"

I suck.

Thrive to spite them

Erin, I take Seroquel and have been for several years now - wait no, more like 7 years. Your doctor should be suggesting you get blood work done a regular basis to make sure everything is okay (and you aren't increasing your risk for diabetes).

I see my shrink 2x a year so I usually get blood work done once. This time he's adding a Vitamin D check.

Evidentally I'm taking a really high dose 200 mg/day so we're going to try to back me down to 100 mg and add a med to help me sleep.

It's pretty much been the key to helping me stay stable and get where I am controlling my bipolar disorder, it will be nice if I can lower the dose. Especially since in the last 10 years I've gone from needing anti anxiety meds daily, taking a mood stabilizer and Seroquel (or an antipyschotic like it) AND something to help me sleep to just the Seroquel.

I'll be really happy if I can get to 1/2 my current dose, even if it means taking meds to help me sleep.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Starting with my 6:30 am wake up call: "Mommy! Mommy! The tooth fairy forgot to come!"

I suck.

No you don't.

For future reference, "Did you look under the pillow? Yes? Maybe you knocked it down on the floor? Oh look, here it is! You just knocked it off the bed when you were looking for it."

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

On Medium, the solution was that the tooth fairy stuck the money under the wrong pillow.

What is the going rate for a tooth these days?

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH had a really interesting encounter this morning. We were down at the parade grounds getting ready for the event and a sales rep for the company was complaining how the sole corporate sponsor for the event didn't get enough mention in his local paper (about 30 miles away). He asked DH, "It's a real shame. Who was doing the marketing on this thing?" To which DH had to reply, "I don't know that we've been fully introduced. I'm the Director of Marketing."

Have I mentioned how much DH hates working in Marketing?

aurelia, I wanted to sest the rate at $1 but once, DH forgot to put the money under the pillow while I was away so he gave Owen a coupon for a DS game ($30!) Thankfully, Owen doesn't realize the value of money yet so we should be able to get away with $1s in the near future. He lost two bottoms so far but hasn't lost any others.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Guh. I just finished taking this test and it was pretty flipping awful. BUT, it's over now, and no one in the whole world cares about my grade, so..... yay test is over!!

Sorry about the awfulness. Which level are you up to?

$1 seems reasonable. Coins or bills? Do kids still have piggy (or other shaped) banks?

I have a vague recollection of getting a quarter for a tooth.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

elizabethW. My salon carries the line, and I love it. All-natural ingredients and non-cloying scents. Their products are handcrafted and they try to source locally in San Francisco. You can purchase the entire catalog on line if there's no local retail source

If you came to San Francisco, you could buy it in person.

Just got back from Sing-Along Grease in Dolores Park. It was very fun, but extremely cold. Summer in San Francisco, how I've missed you.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Thanks, meara. I am taking it now for the sed affects with my current AD. We shall reevaluate after a few weeks.

We shall see if it conquers the insomnia beast!

The Boy takes Seroquel partly for mental-health effects, and partly because it knocks him out STONE COLD every night. Like a sucker punch.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Thanks, Maria. Those all look yummy. I'll email them for an ingredients list.
