Happy birthday, Plei! I hope the day treated you better than you deserve, which is to say fabulously!
I bought a new shea butter hand lotion today--vetiver scented. It's nice and subtle, and I don't smell like a bowl of fruit when I use it. Also doesn't clash with my favorite perfumes. The middle and top notes are complimentary.

I have had bourbon.
I like bourbon.
Hiya Perkins!
I like bourbon too. I do not have any more in the house. It is now too late to remedy this particular situation. Thanks for bringing it to my attention in a timely fashion.
Wherefore art thou, Woodford Reserve? Not in my freakin' house, and therfore not in my glass, lovingly caressing the contained cubes of ice. Woe is me.
We are now 85% moved. We have all taken showers and are watching Clone Wars. I love our new house so much. Ellie has 4 little girls near us to play with.
The house looks so well put together. Best it ever has looked at the end of Move Day.
Looks like I have takers for 2 of the 4 pieces of furniture I need to unload. The biggest and the smallest, so just the two middle pieces that need homes now. I am hoping 1 (the smallest) will be picked up tomorrow (need to empty it) and the other next weekend (started emptying it tonight).
Congratulations, Stephanie! I'm amazed at how you've got this down to a science now.
msbelle, that's good news. In the grand scheme of things, how much more stuff do you have to unload?
I have a small tv box full of smaller stuff to ebay: clothes, canisters, trays. Then I have a bed and a clothes dryer.
Wherefore art thou, Woodford Reserve
We did a wee bit of a taste test at Pacificon, thanks to SA. I liked the Buffalo Trace, which is what I am drinking tonight, a bit more than Woodford Reserve, but both were Tasty.
That's exciting, Stephanie. Congrats.
Emmett and I spent all day in Walnut Creek playing on our new wood bat tournament team. (Well, he played. I watched.) We tied in the first game, then played poorly in the second game and got our asses handed to us.
We could've won the first game too but had too many misplays.
And the great pitcher we had in the first game? Off to work for Habitat for Humanity in Guatemala for the summer.
Have a sense of priorities, kid!
Actually it wasn't a bad day. Not too hot, and we were at least competitive in the first game. But this team needs to pull together and play smarter.
Emmett didn't hit much, but he played good D today. Made a couple nice plays in right and his usual excellent catcher. (If he'd been catching in the first game, I think we would've won. Though he would've taken a tremendous hit at home on a straight steal to get that out.)
This is mostly a team of 14 y.o.s and Emmett's kind of on the bubble among the 13 y.o. players. But it's good experience, and it's baseball and learning to play with wood bats is important.
