hip deep in pie

I've gotten to the point a few times in dreams where I've done some kind of reality check and realized it was a dream, but I always wake up at that point.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Brain abcsecsses, holy shit, no.

Vuvuzelas, less bad than brain abscesssess, but quite bad enough for the day.

Trying to spell abbscesses before coffee? Also kinda bad.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Two nice young men just came and took away my old TV armoire!

That was nice. Now a few minutes of down time before I go buy earthquake putty (the store doesn't open until 9:00), and then vacuum, and then people will come with my shiny new TV.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am getting no love on my listing of furniture for sale. I guess I will drop the prices, but good lord I really do not want to give the stuff away.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Feh. My favorite chair gave up the ghost this morning. Damn you, Ikea. When I pay a whopping $25 for a chair I expect better than this. Seven or 8 years of frequent use, 3 of those outside in all weather? That's all I get?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hee, Brenda.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

New TV, yay!!

Betty White was in my dreams last night, conducting an orchestra of hot men. It was pretty sweet.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I just saw my friend ordained as an Episcopal deacon. Such a lovely service! If I ever returned to the church it might well be at something like this. The kids behind us got a bit restless, but t was a two hour service. I felt a tad restless myself at times.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Day 3 of this stoooopid headache was not enough. My body decided to add in full on nasal congestion. Oh joy, oh rapture.

Perkins - yay on the shiny new tv.

KCD is out of town this weekend, so I have both kids all weekend. I need to come up with something to do to cheer Kelly, entertain CJ, and hopefully allow me to breathe.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, ugh, argh, frustration. It's cold and gray and windowpane-rattling windy outside, lousy weather for the park or the playground or anything much I can think of; we just finished The Little Mermaid and now Matilda wants to go to the beach, but it'll be ten degrees colder out there and anyhow Hec and Emmett took the car to a double-header out in Walnut Creek (on a junior college campus, no playground or anything else to amuse small children, so Matilda and I stayed behind) and we only have 70 cents in the house but a bus ride to the beach is $2.

Small restless child + mildly gross weather - transportation - cash = BLARG.

And while I was writing this, Matilda decided she wanted to go out in the back and do some gardening. And now she's rubbing my head and affectionately calling me a little knucklehead, all happy at the prospect of grubbing around in the dirt and leaves. Saved by the backyard! Off we go.
