Mememe whine.
Ugh, I'm so tired of being unhealthy. I've been coughing up
globs of neon green junk
for over a week now (or blowing it out of my nose). That's finally getting to be less of a thing, but the coughing has been so spasmodically violent that I've thrown my back out. And between the two problems, I haven't gotten a decent nights sleep since this upper respiratory thing hit.
Thank god my doctor prescribed the good cough syrup (the kind with codeine), but even limiting that to bedtime, I'm still sleeping like crap. I will take having my back keeping me tossing and turning over being woken up by yet another coughing fit, but I'd just like this to be over, please.
I also believe I shall be trying that tomato sauce soon.
I have the day off from work! My goals are:
- get nails done
- dye hair
- watch Farscape DVDs
- take nap
Jessica, your day sounds lovely.
Oh, and I have to bake a birthday cake. Hopefully the groceries will come early. (My delivery slot is 2-4 - if they're here at 2 I can bake and be done before I pick Dylan up from daycare. If they're here at 4 I'll have to do it tonight.)
I'm watching my recording of the Mythbusters Top 25 Moments. Very funny line about Grant's robots: "You know you've built a great machine when, just before it turns on, even though everyone is behind blast shields, everyone, including you, takes a little half-step back."
A number of things are working together to make me want to slack. 1. Got here early. First one here kind of early 2. Was up late
*Waves at The Tudors and Rome*
3. Was super productive in the first hour. 4. Almost no one is in our department today. I know the publisher is out. My boss is here, but in meetings. I assume SEO dude is WFH, and if the other girl is here, she hasn't made herself known. One of the designers is out with wife and new baby. Other designer I have only seen in email and the rest are contractors scattered across the country. I couldn't even find my Dev person. 5. I have a tedious task which is...tedious and not terribly high priority yet.
However now that I have wasted 6 minutes typing this, I'm thinking I should get back to it.
Gud, don't jinx things like that!
Damn that was harsh. The US is not my favorite, but I do not want them to lose to people dressed like Charlie Brown.
Go USA!
I'm listening/streaming right now.
