Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh my goodness, I do the vegetable refrigerator thing too. Of course, so does my mom, and she is 64 and retired.

All this talk of name songs has somehow gotten "Brandy, your a fine girl" stuck in my head. I hate that song!

Art Crawl!!!

I got home from work, fed the cat, changed my clothes, opened the windows and turned on fans. It's hot and humid and still. Supposed to be worse through the weekend. It's not even actually summer yet.

And I have errands I must run. (At least the buses and shops will be air conditioned.)

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Although possibly I fail at #3 by eating meat.

I respect the hell out of the pot roast I'm eating right now.

OK, weird....I just got a message on Facebook from someone who I know through the drag king scene, but haven't talked to in a few years. I have the vague memory of not being a huge fan, but no specifics, and mostly the vague memory is more of personality conflict than anything actual, and of more-recent-than-I've-seen-the-person gossip about some badness that had nothing to do with me but sounded uncool. Or something.

But the message was all "I just was informed I was rude/mean to you a long time ago, offhandedly, and I wanted to apologize, because there's no call for that" etc. And I'm like "...uh...wow. Someone else has a better memory for slights to me than *I* do!!"

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm in "Mambo Number 5" Also, because my middle name is Dawn, my grandma, otherwise the least poetic of women, made up a little filk of "Delta Dawn" with my name in it.ETA: Part of me was really hoping Alvin Greene was a for-real citizen activist type candidate. Then I saw him on Countdown and thought to myself "Dude, Keith Olbermann used to interview people who get punched in the head for a living and they were probably better than that." Also, it reminded me that when he did sports, he used to have an "Er," and "Um," counter to bust the least-articulate athletes...he is *so* Buffista in spirit, but anyway, if he had one for Greene it would sound like calling a fax machine. Sigh.

Oz seems to have some kind of intolerance to dairy...everytime he eats some, he immediately throws up. Cheese seems to be the only exception. Me leaving a the batter bowl from ganache made with heavy cream just lead to some chocolate covered cat vomit. It wasn't as gross as it sounds.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Yeah, Sue, it really, really was.

No envy!

I think I've just become immune to the disgusting things my cats do. Once you've stepped in mouse innards everything seems less gross.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Kittenish does this. Including cheese which she loved to nom shreds of. But nope, she's lactose intolerant and I am cat barf intolerant.

Sorry, Oz. No more ganache for you.

The good thing about Oz is that seems to learn. He drank milk twice, got sick, and ever since he avoids it. I hope this will be his first and last foray into chocolate.
