We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

If you go to the MSNBC website and look at the Countdown archive from a week or two ago, you'll see one of more bizarre interviews ever between Alvin Greene (the mystery candidate) and Keith Olbermann. The man obviously is having problems with the lag time between the question and when he hears it over his earpiece, which is common to newbies on his show, but his delays are longer than usual, and his responses are nearly catatonic in their brevity and lack of emotion. It's pretty evident that he's having to wait for his lawyer or another rep to give him the answer through what is rumored to be another earpiece he's wearing, or maybe the voice you can hear in the background occasionally.

Yikes. Super, super weird.

To paraphrase and steal from Legally Blonde, did this guy just wake up one morning and decide to run for Senator? Craziness.

Indeed.

And with that, I'm going to go watch last night's So You Think You Can Dance and then go to bed. Have a lovely rest of your day, everyone!

Compassionately intolerant

Ironically, for someone who does what I do for a living, I figure if everybody liked me, I'd be doing something wrong.

I despised the song everyone knows that features my name, but I've come to peace with it in my dotage.

Lasagne! I haven't made it in ages and ages. It brought all the kids to my yard when I was at university...I should make a variation with my gluten-free pasta. Hmmm.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

And he claims he used his own money to file, but is being represented by a public defender which requires proving indigency (is that a word?). [link] Maybe it's because bad guys in media are frequently named Victor (as KBD used to bitterly point out) so people had negative associations with the opponent's name. But seriously, something is really, really weird about that whole thing.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

On NPR this morning, they said that his foreign policy statements so far consist of the desire for a unified democratic Korea.
