I would need cupcakes, books and Buffy.

Well, I agree on Buffy, but I would have to go with music and bacon.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I was the geeky mom who stopped by my daughter's store while she was working so I could buy her a treat at Godiva.

Also got to check out the new Windows store in the mall. Like an Apple store, but...for Windows. The assistant manager came over to chat me up to see if I was looking or buying and his pat phrases included "this store finally gives Windows a public face" and, when I mentioned my next laptop would be for a student "oh, the Gates really support education and always offer discounts on student computers". Ok.

Perkins - not quite entertainment, but do you have any suggestions on red, non-patent leather, Mary Jane shoes?

Punishingly Intricate

Bacon, books, Buffy (like javachick, assuming I can sing to myself)

Huh. I took it to mean music in general (like The Giver) and that's why I didn't choose books, since you can have all kinds of stories without actual books.

I am going to look into USAA online banking as well as ING because I already do some business with each of them.

I like USAA a lot. Their online banking is easy to use and pretty flexible. Also, they not only don't charge you for using other banks' ATMs, they refund any charges that the ATM charges you.

I wanted to use ING for checking in addition to savings, but you can't get actual checks, which I figured I would end up regretting at some point.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Bacon, for sure. Music depends if I can sing to myself, and I suppose books depend if I can still write fiction. And Buffy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Bacon, Buffy...music? I'm assuming you can't sing to yourself, because that's music. But you can have stories that aren't books. Oral tradition! TV! Fanfic! Movies!

Someone at work said he was cutting cable and going to read books. I suggested books about TV, but at least people laughed with camaraderie.

Came home. Working from here. Still feel like crap, and am out of pain meds.
