Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am increasingly glad that I've never paid a water or sewer bill. They have always been included in my rent.

My water bill is about $30/month. I'd be shocked if I got a near-$100 water bill, even in the summer.

Amusingly, my water/sewer bill comes bundled with my trash bill. It's about $50 bimonthly for all 3.

WEEPS. Our water/sewer/trash/electric all come together and is over $150/month.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

YOUR MOM'S BIRTHDAY IS SUNDAY (which is also Father's Day).

You know, I will pout if you don't mention it, so thanks for the heads up.

My poor sister is freaking out with what to do for the 'rents on the dual day. She bought them tickets to a benefit, and they decided not to go. Which...she thinks means she has to get them something else, but the rest of us think the donation to charity in their name is good enough. Plus dinner.

Me? Ecards and a phone call. Sucks to not be me.

My mom just called me in the middle of class (granted we aren't doing anything as I had to turn grades in two weeks ago) to ask if I wanted anythign from Trader Joes. Seriously.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My electric and gas bill is based on the amount of electricity and gas I use, so it's irritating that nearly all of my water bill is flat fees that have nothing to do with how much water I use.

That's pretty much how my gas bill looks too - the fixed costs and fees far outweigh the actual consumption.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Me? Ecards and a phone call. Sucks to not be me.

SRSLY. With divorced parents, since I have to cover both events in one day, it's lunch with Dad and then race out to Mom's for giftage (and, frankly, since MY BIRTHDAY IS NEXT WEEK, it's also giftage for *me*) and then dinner with Mom and Stepdad.

3 cards, 2 meals, 1 gift. Sheesh.

Once I'm more seriously employed, it's time for a big gift for the 'rents. But there's no point doing a small gift in the middle of the year. Next year? Hopefully a cruise. C'mon, employment gods!

As long as you're beseeching the employment gods, put in a word for me?

Coding and Sleeping

About $100 a month for water/sewer for us. Our city buys water from Kansas City so it's ex.pen.sive.

Trust my rage

First, I must point out that Brazil is ahead 2-0. That first goal was beautiful and reminds me of just how much the Brazilian people breathe soccer.

Second, our combined utility bill this month was $205. That's everything but trash, which is $85 for three months and includes recycling.
