The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Now I'm at the point where I have opened the box and found the directions.

That's progress, right?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Perkins, are you going an entire week without watching t, then? Who are you??

Speaking of, this is our second annual no-tv week chez bon Bob -- so we can get caught up on work, books, DVDs (I've been slacking on The Wire and Netflix). Started Sunday but yesterday I checked our DVR and it was 97% full. With that and intense boredom* we ended no-tv week 36 hours early.

*Unlike last year I have limitations on internet and alcohol, too.

Timelies all!

It is hot and humid here, and yet I have a cat in my lap.

(Yeah, I know, it's summer in DC)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Jesus, bon. I could probably survive a week without any two of the three, but all at once?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Jesus, bon. I could probably survive a week without any two of the three, but all at once?

If we tried that, the house would be burned to the ground in under 72 hours.

Stephanie, good thing you aren't in apartments with balconies! Is this part of potty training or his own initiative?

Apparently my sunscreen died. I have a sunburn.

Things I forgot: insulin needles. Things I really should not have forgotten: insulin needles.

I've got fruit and spinach to wash and litterboxes to scoop. I've cranked both acs. I don't want to leave the couch.

Trust my rage

It's his own initiative but I have encouraged it because he loves it and it help him be excited about going on his own.
