I've reached the stage of deciding what breakfast should be.

I've reached the stage of deciding what lunch should be. Somebody should decide for me.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I heard there was World Cup discussion in here. I already have a gleeful American fiancee sitting on the sofa next to me.

We've ordered pizza.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I've a feeling Pizza Hut is going to take its time delivering. About half the country just ordered.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

In further nationality-related news, The Girl and I are watching the England-USA World Cup football/soccer match. She was just far too gleeful about America's equalizing goal.

John Oliver (of the Daily Show) has been covering the World Cup and noted that he will suffer tremendous humiliation and brutal haranguing if the Yanks win.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

English commentary is always so tragically hopeful. "The next goal could be the decisive one!" Well, yes, it would be.

Our wings are not tired.

Perkins, are you going an entire week without watching t, then? Who are you??

Last night I came home from work and went out back to do some gardening. I instead decided to turn the eyesore of an old, non-working fountain (that was covered in rotton leaves and gross water - mosquito heaven!) into a beautiful, clean, working fountain. I knew nothing about it, but managed to clean the sucker out (two showers later I still smell like a swamp!), fix the hose thing that recycles the water (duct tape FTW), figure out the electrical stuff and now, VOILA, a beautiful gurgling fountain to keep me company when I am on the deck.

At some point, I will get used to the gurgling sound and be able to to go more than 10 minutes without heading into the house to use the loo.
