In awesome news, I just gave myself a fabulous ten-color manicure.

New wetsuit protects bald penguin from sunburn
A bald penguin has been kitted out today in a new "comfier and snazzier" wetsuit to help prevent it from getting sunburnt this summer.
Ralph, a 10-year-old Humboldt penguin at Marwell Wildlife in Hampshire, was last year given a wetsuit for the first time to protect its exposed pale pink skin.
Penguins moult every year, which usually takes between four to six weeks to complete.
But Ralph loses all his feathers in the space of a few days, so new ones do not grow through in time, exposing his skin to the sun.
The wetsuit protects Ralph's sensitive skin until his new feathers have grown through, which his keepers think will take about a month.
Plus his wetsuit says RALPH in big letters!
Old Spice Guy Isaiah Mustafa Lands Talent Deal with NBC:
"We felt he was a piece of talent worth developing," Grace Wu, NBC's senior vice president of casting, told Variety, which first reported the deal. "He's an attractive guy who's just as funny and charming."
As part of the new deal, Mustafa will audition for roles in NBC's current series, mostly sitcoms, as well as future pilots at the network.
I can't believe a talent deal made the news. They hand those out all the time. Okay, okay, that's making them sound like candy. Just that they regularly turn into bupkis. I'd have a lot more famous friends otherwise.
There is some electronic device chirrupping in my apartment and I can't ID it. Driving me nuts.
For Hec: Chicago Sandwich Register (they also have other cities' top sandwiches, including SF).
Can I have cupcakes for dinner? That's okay on Fridays, right?
Yes.
Loki is getting really good at bolting out the front door. Sigh. And he's in love with my next door neighbor.
Dita is in love with one of the neighbor's cats too--NC gets to go for walks outside, and they've made friends through our window. Last time I was home, Dita came to find me to tell me NC was there. It was very cute, up to the part when Perkins the Cat came over and hissed at all of us.
Hah, in love with the actual human neighbor! He jumped right into her lap on the swing. She likes him too.
Now that the weather is warm, Leo is getting more and more interested in making a break for freedom every time I open the door. I really need to get the porch screened in.
