We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I get 11 paid holidays and do not get the week between Xmas and New Year's.

I still can hang clothes, right?

Yes! Just use clothespins generously!! I need to get a retractable clothesline.

We don't have a retractable, but a regular line and we hang up during wind frequently. Esp. if there is no sun.

Librarian Warlord

I currently get 22 holidays, 24 vacation days, 18 sick days and summer Friday afternoons off.

I do have to work some Saturdays - about 1 a month, and sometimes a holiday, but I get comp time.

Except for the conservatism, I want to work at Sparky's uni!

I am deeply envious.

Dude. Now *I* want to work at Sparky's U. Except in how they hate me and my kind, and I don't think I could stand all the conservatism and the hating on me and on the various positions I feel strongly about. But, y'know....VACATION. And SICK TIME. And HOLIDAYS!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

am jealous. I think I had similar when at the uni, but then I also had a boss from hell, so it wasn't worth it long term.

Now I have 11 vacation, 3 personal, 9 sick (but if you take them all, you will be talked to), and the federal reserve holidays. Where ever I get a job in TX will probably be worse unless I can get on with a school district (and yes, I am actually considering horribly low pay of being a school support staff in order to get school hours and the same vacations as mac).

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Yay for Matt's dad!

Are they just pressing or are they also blocking? If they are just pressing, you can do that at home by laying the cross stich, front side down, on a towel and ironing. This doesn't squish your stitches and can save you money. I haven't had good luck trying to block at home though.

Most of those pieces have been folded up in the bottom of my cross-stitch bin for years, so the wrinkles were ridiculous and not something I wanted to deal with. My next project, which is still on the stretcher bars and I swear to God I'll finish it sometime before the end of the year, I promise!, won't be so bad and I should be able to handle pressing it myself.

The cleaners used to offer blocking services, but haven't done so in years. I'll have Michaels take care of doing that for me when I take them in to get framed (I'll handle framing the Xmas piece myself since I'm not going to splurge on framing for something that'll be on my wall for only a month every year).

And I'm even worse because I bred! And they don't seem to be down with working moms, let alone working moms of my kind.
