Dear Work Person:
I get that it's been REALLY hard to drag information out of the people we're working with. SUPER hard. To get any decisions in writing has been a big PITA, and they take FOREVER to make a decision, which is hampering our job.
That said, sending out a "how to do this bizarro workaround in the software we use" as if they've finally told us how to do something, when several of us have REPEATEDLY explained how to do that, on the weekly conference calls? Is NOT a "OMG here's an answer that's been hanging out there and they finally told us!" If THAT was on your to-do list to bug them about, I'd love to see and re-align your to-do list. SERIOUSLY. Because I would've crossed that off months ago, and quit bothering them about it. Because we already knew how to do it, and have ALREADY explained, REPEATEDLY, on teleconferences YOU WERE LEADING.
Argh.
Yeah, some people here may (or may not!) be glad to hear that my coworker was all like, "What is this, Bing??"
Does this mean I can have a nutty bar now for behaving?
Yes.
I had an extended birthday lunch for a coworker, came back to a couple of emails I was waiting for, did something proactive (apparently proactivity is highly-prized here), so now I feel like the day should be over....
OMG, I think I just saw Sean Young on
The Young and the Restless.
today should totally be over. I had a large diet coke with lunch and am still about to fall asleep.
Also? it should be Friday.
OMG, I think I just saw Sean Young on The Young and the Restless.
Oh, how the mighty crazy have fallen.
She's lucky to still have a job in acting.
More importantly, what are you doing watching a SOAP?
There is a Giants/Reds game on!!!
Yep, it's her.
Are you sure? Maybe it's a replicant.
There is a Giants/Reds game on!!!
The Boy is at that game right now. I am working. He is NOT a sports fan. (He's there for a work thing.)
INJUSTICE!!!
From way back, I never know what Google is doing because I do all of my searches in the Google toolbar, not by going to home page of Google. Do those of you who use the entire page do so because that's where you're checking mail, and doing other things? I am just curious. (I don't have gmail.)
When I use the toolbar, my search term stays in it afterward, which drives me batty.
Apparently Google heard (some of) our cries of despair, and killed the background image early.
JUSTICE!!!
