I'm just annoyed. I don't like visual clutter, and I don't like random images appearing on my screen at work that I'm not expecting. I'd expect google to be PG, but for a moment there (before coming here and seeing it was a Thing) I wondered if I'd a) typed the address wrong b)something was hacked because wtf were those psycho metallic phallic balloon maybe animal things?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I frequently leave open in one of several tabs at work, because I use it so often.

And now I am even more annoyed (mad was too strong), because I REALLY don't want a picture on my work Google.

information libertarian

Huh, I use the toolbar search box for Google, so I had to Google Google to see what y'all were talking about.

And AND, if I'm not signed in to my google account, I get the stupid psycho balloon animals as default. Uhg.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh, the image only comes up if you type in google.com - the search results from the toolbar are still on a white background.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Huh, I use the toolbar search box for Google, so I had to Google Google to see what y'all were talking about.

Me too. I never go to the homepage unless it's on purpose.

I wish I could do that, but because of the way our intranet is set up I can't--they have an in house "Live search" box instead, which doesn't work nearly as well.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Ah, The Koons Balloon sculpture, there is one in front of my work building. I kinda love Koons.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, weird. I just found that Firefox shows it to me. Bad firefox! That's abjectly hideous. But, yeah, I don't go their either. Opera lets you search instead of type in a URL, so that's how I fire up a new one.
