You're nice, and you're funny and you don't smoke, and okay, werewolf, but that's not all the time. I mean, three days out of the month, I'm not much fun to be around, either.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I am in a strange, vaguely sad sort of mood today, and I don't know why.

In better news, msbelle, I drove by this place the other day and saw a pink wingback chair and was reminded of you [link]

I have about 10 pair of shoes that I just keep at work. They fill a file drawer or two.

oh fun. I have it in my head that dallas is soooo far away, but that would only be like 30 miles if I came straight across on 183.

It's not too bad. I have friends who live out further. I think it's harder to get out of the city than to get to it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sparky, that's how I do it too.

Msbelle's suggestion is making me laugh and laugh. If I were a different me that might work, but for the current one not so much.

Dear Students: It's rather ethnocentric to complain that the official Civil Code of Kazakhstan is in Russian, and not in English. Be grateful that there is an English translation, and stop whining. Signed, You're Lucky I Pretend to Be a Nice Person

brenda! How's Darby doing?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

not in English.

Dude WHAT? Asses.

Sparky, do your students also complain about people coming to the US and not speaking English there?

I haven't heard them complain about that, Calli. I did however deal with a law student today who was livid because he had to take 60 seconds out of his precious day to sign up for summer access to one of the legal databases (required by the vendor, not by us). He pays a lot of money in tuition, you know!
