Even if CJ is cool with it, maybe you should have a conversation with him about expectations and boundaries (i.e. are you okay with the GF sleeping over when CJ is there, etc.)

eta: edited to sound less sanctimonious. Sorry, Suzi.

KCD is moving into the gf's place. She has two kids roughly the same ages as mine. I haven't met her or the kids. The actual move won't happen until July, so I'm just trying to find my zen place instead of trying to control the situation.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

My phone just ate my huge complaining post over on dw. Even the internet is sick of my whining.

Sleep, Suzi! I make the wavy fingers of sleep in your direction.

I think I will not get much. Still have my own cough, but the SO is newly sick again (this is round four for him) complete with fever and sore throat, so I`m up listening for him in the other room. He was sleeping but is coughing again now. Poor boo.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My insomnia has taken over...actually, I guess, at this point, it's not really insomnia, since I am sleeping ok, when I get to sleep.

It's just that without Ambien, my sleep schedule flips in about 5 days. Right now, I am getting to sleep at about 9 am, and waking up at about 5pm. Since D. gets up at about 4:45 am, and goes to sleep at about 9:30, it's not optimal, but ok. However, M comes for the summer in two weeks, so I am a little nervous about it.

I grew up swimming in ponds and lakes, and I don't love the mud or the lake smell. I adore swimming in rivers and creeks in SMo/north AR, where the the bottoms are gravel lined, and usually flat rocks of limestone when you get out farther. And they are usually spring-fed, so they are nice and fresh smelling, unlike lakes with are ew, fish smell.

I've only swam in the ocean a couple of times, but I liked it. The waves were fun, but did make me a little nervous when I was getting out to not being able to touch depth.

(Um, and in Mexico, I DEFINITELY liked the part where they swept the sand off the lounge chairs for me, and brought me frozen strawberry daiquiris! I felt like a rock star!)

So on the one morning I'm giving a friend a ride to work, when I tell her no way I'll be ready before 8:30...I've been ready since quarter to 8. Fun. Oh well, a few more minutes...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I got a whole lot more apprehensive about the ocean (and any water where I can't see the bottom clearly) after I got stung by a Portuguese Man O' War, which seriously was like getting acid splashed on you.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Now I've got the Kenya thing running through my head.

I am about to LOSE MY MIND. I'm exhausted despite plenty of sleep, I've been unreasonably cranky and on edge for two days and today isn't being any better, my boss is on a micromanagement binge, and the cat is whining incessantly and charging around knocking shit over and banging at the (expensive!) wooden window blinds, and I want to just close my bedroom door and go back to bed, but I have a conference call in an hour and a half, and I'm tempted to just call in sick, OMG what's wrong with me.

Fucking hormones.
