Back when I was a freshman in high school, I briefly got rockstar status when a friend of a friend gave me rides one week. She had an old ford truck, one of those bubbly kind, black with flames. It was seriously awesome. A couple years later, my cousin lived with us and traded in his Bronco for a ford of a similar vintage (he was going to literally work his way down to South America, and needed a truck he could either find parts for or manufacture parts himself.) I helped him get the old ford into shape and fell a little in love with it, even though it was baby yellow.
I assume he's long since sold it. He took 3 years to get to Brazil, where he ended up an apprenticed with a wooden sailboat builder, moved to WA, did another apprenticeship, and is now in the business in Maine of custom boats (took a hit in the economy) and general custom cabinetry and wood work. I really need to hire him...
Cash,
I am all at once amazed and appalled by that floor.
I am Sue. The flooring in my entryway at the new house is red tile I am not in love with. I need to think of what to do in there. Maybe just prego like the kitchen/back living room.
From way back:
What is Protected Health Information (PHI)?
Under HIPAA, PHI is confidential, personal, identifiable health information about individuals that is created or received by a health plan, provider, or health care clearinghouse and is transmitted or maintained in any form. "Identifiable" means that a person reading this information could reasonably use it to identify an individual.
I would go crosseyed looking at that floor trying to make words.
I still have to pull up the pink carpet in the hallway and refinish the floor. I am a little worried that the hardwood will be in rough shape by the front door. (I can't see it because old carpet backing is glued to it.) I am just crazy and cheap enough to think about refinishing the main floor myself. But there's a lot of hardwood down here.
but but but pink carpet!!
I cannot wait to design and do my pink laundry room/garage!
I think the floor's kind of cool, but I can't imagine it's not bumpy, which would drive me nuts.
Oh, I have hardwood with bad water damage (that I can't figure out how it happened) that someday I will need to replace. But even as I see other neighbors' floors, even with the shit staining job that was done on mine...OMG, I so prefer mine. Most of them have gone blond. Mine is a dark honey, and warm. Even with the damage and crappy stain and finish job, mine are prettier.
Calli, it does seem odd for the instructor not to have called when expected. I can't imagine there are so many students out there that he can afford to neglect one.
